Autumn Equinox
Welcome to
Fall! A time for harvesting and preparation for Winter. Equinox means ‘equal.’
Day and night are of equal length. There is a sense of balance in the air, and
we are, after all, in the Zodiac sign of Libra, the scales. I am a Libra and
the sense of balance and equality has been with me all my life.
I have always had the tendency stand up for the outnumbered in society, even if I disagreed with them. Even if I thought they were totally wrong and maybe dangerous. Why? I believe that without counterpoints in our world, we cannot have a society that is balanced. Leaning too far in any direction leaves us fewer choices in life. Once we start moving in any specific direction, we begin to narrow the available choices we have.
Our spiritual Paths can suffer from this, also. I often hear the question, “Are we physical beings on a spiritual path, or spiritual beings on a physical path?” The truth is that we are both. We must be both in order to have a balanced existence on this world. I believe we must be equal parts spiritual and physical as we traverse this planet. Once we are ready to cross the Veil, our physical form can be laid down. Until then, we must use our spiritual AND physical resources for the Highest Good of ourselves and others.
In conclusion, enjoy your life in ALL its aspects. It is a gift to us all to both learn our lessons and reap the bounties of joy that are there for us to accept.
