Winter Solstice. The time of shortest daylight and longest night. For many of us, this can be a depressing time. For others, it is a time to celebrate. It is, after all, a time when now the daylight is increasing. This is also a time for reflection on the coming year. My prayer and Intention is that this year brings us all blessings for our Highest Good.
The following verse were written by Blue Wolf at a time of inner reflection. It is offered to you here as an expression of the Light and Dark as we travel through the Winter months. Blessings to all.
Darkness
I walk in the Light and cast no Shadow.
Where is my Shadow? It is within.
I walk in the Darkness and yet I See.
Where is the Light? It is within.
Without the Light there can be no Shadow.
The Shadow is the proof of the Light.
One cannot exist without the other.
I stand on the mountaintop and gaze into the valley
And see myself looking toward the mountaintop.
I am joyous, I am sorrowful.
I feel pleasure, pain and no-thing.
I give comfort and sow discontent.
I strike the war-post and charge forward.
I am at peace while the battle rages onward.
I am as silent as the interval between the lightning and the thunder.
I am the stillness in the eye of the storm.
I am the storm, the lightning and the thunder.
Chaos and Order have no meaning in my life. They are one.
I feel as though I am wandering without direction,
Until I look inward and See that no other Path was possible.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
